Probate and Administration of Estate is a legal process supervised by the Courts for gathering assets, paying taxes, debts and administrative expenses and distributing the remaining assets to heirs or beneficiaries, after a person’s death. In Malaysia, the process can last from six to twelve months. Under normal circumstances, it can be complicated and demands careful attention to procedural requirements.
